Symptoms of heart disease

1/ (Cardiovascular Disease - CVD):

Vascular heart disease is caused by narrowing, blockage or stiffness of blood vessels, resulting in the heart, brain or other organs in the body not receiving enough blood.

Symptoms of vascular heart disease include:
  • Chest pain (angina pectoris)

  •  Dyspnea

  • Pain, weakness or cold feeling in the legs and arms, if there is narrowing of the blood vessels in it.
2/Symptoms of heart disease caused by arrhythmias (Arrhythmia):

An arrhythmia is an irregular heartbeat. Arrhythmias may include a heartbeat at a higher rate than normal, at a rate lower than normal or irregularly.

Symptoms of heart disease associated with the heartbeat include:

  • Tremor in the chest.
  • Tachycardia .
  • Bradycardia.
  • pain in chest.
  • Shortness of breath.
  • Dizziness.
  • Fainting / Syncope) or close to syncope.

3/Symptoms of heart disease caused by a defect in the heart:

Congenital defect in the heart is usually detectable within hours, days, weeks or months after birth. Symptoms of heart disease defects include:

  • Light gray or blue skin (Cyanosis).
  • Abdominal distention, in the legs or around the eyes.
  • Shortness of breath while eating, causing insufficient weight gain.

Symptoms of congenital heart defects that do not pose an immediate danger to life include:

  • Ease of shortness of breath, as a result of physical or sports activity.
  • Ease of feeling tired, as a result of physical or sports activity.
  • Accumulation of fluid in the  in the lungs or heart.
  • Swelling in hands, ankles, and  palms the feet.
4/Symptoms of Cardiomyopathy:

Cardiomyopathy means that the heart muscle becomes stiffer and thicker  . Sometimes, in the early stages of cardiomyopathy, no symptoms appear at all.

As the disease becomes more severe, its symptoms may include:

  • Shortness of breath when making any effort, or even a rest time.
  • Swelling of the legs, ankles and feet.
  • Abdominal distension due to fluid buildup.
  • Feeling tired.
  • Heart rhythm disorder - acceleration, palpitations or flutter.
  • Dizziness and fainting.
5/Symptoms of heart disease caused by pollution in the heart

There are three types of pollution:

a/ Pericarditis is an inflammation of the heart membrane, which is inflammation of the tissue (membrane) that covers the heart.
b/ Myocarditis, which affects the middle layer of the heart muscle.
c/ Endocarditis affects the inner membrane that separates the heart’s chambers and valves.

Symptoms of heart disease caused by pollution in the heart include:

  • fever.
  • shortness of breath.
  • Weakness or fatigue.
  • Swelling in the legs or abdomen.
  • Changes in the frequency of the heartbeat.
  • Dry or persistent cough.
  • Skin rash or unusual spots.
6/Symptoms of heart disease caused by a problem with the heart valves.

There are four valves in the heart:

a/ Aortic valve.

b/ Mitral valve.

c/ Pulmonary valve.

d/ Tricuspid valve.

All heart valves open with direct blood flowing through the heart.
Heart valves may be damaged by several factors that lead to narrowing, leakage (abnormal flow or deficiency) or incomplete closure (prolapse).
Symptoms of heart disease caused by damage to the valves of the heart vary, depending on the heart valve involved and include:
  • feeling tired.
  • shortness of breath.
  • Heart rhythm disturbance or heart murmur.
  • Swelling in the feet or ankles.
  • pain in chest.
  • fainting.
