Steps of growth in children

















1/newborn babies:


The newborn step is the first step of the child's development steps, as it includes children between the time of birth and until the first month, during which the child develops many motor skills to respond to external influences that depend mainly on the principle of the reflex reaction, such as holding it in any body that is placed With his hands, or moving his hands towards his chest when suddenly there is noises, and other examples, besides that, the newborn has the ability to see nearby objects and recognize some smells, and to make sounds to express his needs as well.

The infant's step:

This step, which extends between the age of a month and up to 12 months, can be divided into three main periods, so that the child in the first period shows between 3-6 months the ability to control head movements and playing with hands, then skills are developed between 6-9 Months to the ability to sit without support, and also try to speak, while in the third period that extends between 9-12 months, the infant will be able to crawl and stand in some places when there is support, in addition to developing the ability to pick things up by relying on the fingers of the index finger and thumb .


Little child's step:

This step refers to a period  between one and three years of the child's age, in which children are completely uncoated so that they do not do the job brilliantly, but they develop the ability to walk and go up the stairs without assistance, in addition to controlling the holding of the pen and drawing some simple shapes, as they begin Adhere to some daily routine as scheduled sleep.

Preschool:


The pre-school step is a step full of skills that children from 3-6 years begin to acquire, or demonstrate the ability to learn, as these skills vary between cognitive skills, to motor skills, and fine motor skills as well, it is a wide step that includes learning letters and numbers and starting Reading, as well as interest in art, crafts and games; Also, play is the primary means for the development of children at this step through its various forms that contribute to developing their language and increasing the desire to learn and explore.

School step:


The child is at this step between the ages of 6-12 years, able to demonstrate more individual independence, in contrast to the steps of the young child and pre-school, but at the same time, he still needs guidance from the parents; Especially moral guidance. Also, this period involves the child practicing many activities and assuming many tasks, so the role of the parents is to praise his success, and to give him a space where he is mistaken to learn from his mistakes, so that he has the ability to logically understand how things are going.

Adolescence and adulthood:

Adolescence and adulthood are the final step of child development, which ranges from 12-18 years, and they have what is called social awareness, according to Dr. Maria Montessori, who specializes in medicine, education and anthropology, which means starting to acquire skills related to human life; Like cooking, budgeting, sewing, and similar skills, in addition to beginning to expand the personal experience of each of them within the society in which he lives, and interest in his role in this society and life.
